Clausell Park

This spacious pool & park consists of a pavilion, a playground, large swimming pool, two tennis courts, a basket ball court, two baseball fields, and a concession stand.


Park hours- 8 a.m. until sunset.

Park facilities must be rented to extend hours.

Whitey Lee Park

271 Park Drive

Whitey Lee Park is approximately 20 acres in size. The facility provides a variety of outdoor activities such as fishing, picnic pavilion, walking trail and Community House. The park was donated to the City by Vanity Fair Foundation. The park was created under the direction of M. O. “Whitey” Lee who was a resident of Monroeville, a trustee for the Foundation and Chairman of VF Corporation until his death on March 5, 1962.


The lake is stocked with catfish and bream. Fishing is permitted for people under the age of 15 and over 60. 


Feeding the ducks at the lake is a favorite past time for many citizens young and old. The park Features walking trail, pavilion, 5 acre lake, beautiful setting.

Veterans Memorial Park

2041 S. Mount Pleasant Ave.

Veterans Memorial Ballpark is located at the intersection of South Mount Pleasant Avenue and Veterans Avenue. The park consists of approximately 48 acres and received its name from the Veteran’s Memorial which is located at the northeast corner of the park and consists of a relic tank, helicopter, airplane, mortars and brick memorial. 

The VFW and American Legion manage this section of the park. 

The park consists of 4 softball fields, 2 T-ball fields, minor league, major league and Babe Ruth fields, 2 beach volleyball courts, playground, two concession stands with restrooms and soccer fields.

Kids Corner Playground is open from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. November – March and from 8 a.m. until 7 p.m. April – October. The playground cannot be reserved, but birthday parties are permitted as long as the playground is open to the public.


Veterans Park pool and splash pad opens Memorial Weekend and closes on Labor Day. Pool Hours are Monday - Saturday 11 a.m. - 5 p.m., Sunday 1 - 5 p.m. After school begins in August, the pool is open only on Saturday & Sunday. Season passes are $125.00 for six family members (additional family member $10.00 each). The pool is available for rental after hours. Fee $75/hour. Call City Hall for more information 575-2081.  The Splash pad is open to the public and follows park hours.

A park in the downtown area featuring a historical marker about Monroeville and murals by Semmes artist featuring scenes from "To Kill a Mockingbird."
